    That's irrelivant.

Body kits, ricer exhausts and dubs are not illegal.

that man crushes my car and his family will be fatherless.

im not all down for "street racing" however i don't want to get all worried because my car is modified.

get my car crushed cause i was going 30 over on the number one following the car ahead of me....eff that noise.

those kids that killed due to probably very bad driving...sure...crush there cars...but i think its retarded on how they say that people who make there cars go faster are street racers.

I mean sure its a problem....but the thing is anyone can step on the gas and oh look...your car goes faster. I think another solution needs to come about other than crushing their cars as i can just smell massive lawsuits against the responsible authorities by people that have ALOT more money.

Toronto is one messed up town that i am glad not to live in.

I told my father about this and this is what he said which I have to agree 100% with.

This is like saying, people dont kill people, guns kill people.

Which is totally 100% wrong. Guns dont kill people. People kill people.

Cars dont kill people, people kill people.

    Agree?

    I sure as hell do.

I think this says it all

"Zavala, who admits he has been involved in street racing, estimates he and his mother spent about $10,000 on improvements to his car."

"The 18-year-old mechanic said a vehicle identification sticker apparently fell off and without it, police suspected some of the parts were stolen. Maldonado stood several feet away from his car as it was pounded into a heap of metal."

Just the way you keep guns out of stupid peoples hands, you cant.

They can make laws saying this and that about modified cars, but its gonna keep on happening regaurdless.

They can make laws saying its manditory to get appraisals/inspections done whenever a car is modified, which will then increase your insurance, thus keeping the younger kids without money off the street with modified cars, however this will not solve the solution at all.

The young drivers who were involved in this will probably get the book thrown at them, trying to make an exmaple, but sadly, things wont change.

What would happen if I go to local performance shop and buy a crap load of stickers and stick it to a car that belongs to someone I don't like??

the car happens to be a toyota Echo.

stickers like eibach springs, edlebrock, NOS, Redline, Koni, Hoosier, Micky thompson....

Well, if he waited for this to come into law before taking the stickers off, then shipped his car to Toronto, then got someone to tip off the police that they saw him racing it and give them his license plate number and address, well, it might get crushed?

didn't ontario do something similar in the news where they crushed a couple cars and said "these cars were street racing" when the truth of the situation is that they were seized in a drug bust?

as per the cali cars, "VIN fell off" leads me to believe something closer to stolen car, can't prove ownership, police can technically destroy it.

You guys need to re-read what was said, he's NOT trying to pass a law. He is the attorney general (a lawyer for the government) and says they can CURRENTLY seize and destroy cars.

That means that 1) some sort of law already exists for this, and 2) he has interpreted the meaning of the law to allow them to do this.

I am NOT a lawyer or familiar with Ontario Law, but I suspect there may be some sort of law that permits seizure of property with intent to do public harm (ie: posessing weapons grade plutonium) and Mr Bryant is interpreting that law in this manor.

Which lord is going to have his car crushed? Hopefully it is not Bruce Wayne. That batmobile is pimp, and the modifications are not for street racing.

rOFL ok, using the wrong word FTMFL - that's why I need to type everything at work into MS Word first .

    It should read 'manner'
