i know that some of you on here are paramedics and i just wanted to take a sec to thank you for what you do. my dad has cancer and my mom and i are getting used to driving my dad to and from the hospital for various treatments. but yesterday he experienced his worst day hes had yet and we could not move him due to the extent of his pain. we elected to call 911 and within minutes calgary ems had arrived to my parents house and i have never seen such professionalism in all my life. there is no worse feeling than seeing a loved one in such a state of pain and knowing that you can do nothing to help them. the 2 medics that arrived worked quickly to help him and administer morphine to ease his pain and make it so that we could move him. they took special care during transport to not hit any of the manhole covers on the road so that my dad wouldnt experience any bumps or sharp movements. its hard for me to write this but i just wanted everyone here to appreciate that there are people out there that show so much compassion to people they dont even know. i just wanted to say thank you for what you do and that you deserve the utmost respect from everyone.
