Hey what is the best guitar effects software out there?
Something that is easy to use and has a lot of different effects.
I would prefer it to have lots of presets so I dont need to screw around with stuff.

    Thanks!

1500-2000 gets you most major brand top of the line combos...for that cash you're probably looking at a 1x12 45-60w tube marshall or mesa boogie

You want a Stiletto Ace combo then... they have one at Long and McQuade. Its got a really thick Marshall gain sound, a great crunch sound, and wicked cleans, and it is surprisingly affordable.

In other news, the guitar world lost a true virtuoso and fantastic player on the weekend. Given his condition and style of playing I dont think you could have found a more unique player. He absolutely wailed on some of his tracks- check them out if you have not heard.

    RIP Jeff Healey

I'm really pissed now I didnt jump on the chance to see him and the jazz wizards at the Jube or his band when they were at the deerfoot casino. I even sold a limited edition strat with his signature on it.

I've tried the two big ones, amplitube and guitar rig. Guitar rig has more presets, and I definitely like the sound of them over the amplitube ones.

Check out their sites, they should have sound clips of each preset, but keep in mind they dont exactly sound like that.

Fucking absolutely epic, just picked it up today. Audio, pics, and vids coming soon. We're working on it now.

So, the guitar's 99% done, just a few asthetics to take care of... since we needed the guitar today and Miles just rushed it out the door for us right on time. Epi Les Paul Floyd Rose + Duncan Distortion pickups lol, what a retarded (yet epic) project.

Surprisingly, even though a LOT of wood was taken out of the guitar, sustain hasn't changed at all. Neither has the tone, so for those that think ripping a Les Paul apart to put in a Floyd Rose will kill both... well, they're wrong. And ya, the guitar is still heavy as fuck. Kerry played a few samples and I recorded 'em.

The clean sample shows how wicked this thing sounds, and the dirty sample shows how well it still sustains.

And finally, the shred sample shows some wankery on the FR haha.

Kerry refuses to stop playing the guitar, which means I won't have pics till he gives it back .

edit - got him off the guitar .

Ok that thing sounds totally bad ass. I love that great slightly muddy bluesy sound to it clean.

Anyone know a good method to record your guitar playing onto an ipod? I was going to try using my MD Player but i don't have the software so i wouldn't be able to transfer it back to my computer... btw kerry, we gotta get together again soon heh. Its been awhile now. We've both been busy.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

likely the same length, the two holes left are from the wraparound tail piece, you see them a lot when guys go to bigsby trems as well.
