a week today, i should have my cyclone back by that point, and it should have 2 lace red sensors wired as a humbucker for the bridge.Originally posted by zipdoa
this is basically my first time changing the standard tuning (being EADGBe) so these new arrangements boggle my mind...
ps finboy - when are your finals over? I really want to record some music... i got some basic tools, we should just record a jam session (like that freestyle we did with buddy on the drums).
it went in like this, and myles should have it looking KIND of like this when it's done, but with the sunburst finish...
but with the neck pickup that is in there and these pickups in the bridge...
(slanted like a bridge pickup from a gibson nighthawk)
open tunings are cool too, a lot of rolling stones tunes are done on them (open g and i think open a). it does take a new mindset to put together chord work and lead work because all the notes are in new locations. Cole (Mckenzie) has his prs set up for slide work and it sounds great, but he's also not shitty at guitar like i am
i've just tried some tunings from sonic youth and some songs with dadgad (like "the fine art of falling apart" by matt good) and then try out some different simple riffs, it's basically going back to scratch for learning guitar unless you really know the neck
