Xbox 360 warranty extended to 3 years

They said if you had spent any money previously to get it fixed by them, they'll refund you.

That is a pretty damn good extension. I was starting to get a tad iffy about my 360 being problem free for so long, but now almost 2 more years of coverage Good to see that they are taking the heat for the problems.

Woo Hoo! I should be getting a cheque back for $75.00. My exahange unit has been flawless but I'm going to upgrade to an elite once I can find one.

Funny my cousins 360 has been in for warranty work since January and has yet to receive it back.

This is shitty for me, i dont have the 3 red light, i have the 2 flashing red lights in the left quadrant of the circle.

This is really cool. In general, I like my PS3 better but MS is making soem shrewd decisions in their gaming division.

Wait a bit. The most recent warranty repaired units have a new HSF assembly for the GPU. Might as well wait for prosuction to catch up. The warranty makes this less of an issue, but it would suck to wait two weeks without Bioshock or Mass Effect if you get an Elite now.

That sounds strange to me.. are you sure its not some retailer that he is waiting on? I got mine sent, returned, in less than two weeks.
