just got my new eurogear cf boser hood the other day and i was told it might not be a bad idea to run hood pins, what do people on here think? hood pins and latch as opposed to just the latch, thanks

    Definitely use hood pins.

Racing is for the track, not the road

any cf hood should get pins installed, the last thing you want is your hood flying up and damaging your windshield and roof while driving on deerfoot.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

+1 for hood pins, CF are soo light, they will fly away like a kite with enough wind under it. Just play it safe man.

i dont like the look of hood pins but they are safer than just having the latch. u can buy some pretty cool hood pins that look really stealth these days. might want go take a look at them!

I have them. Wasn't my fav mod, but deff needed. I use latch AND hood pins. The reason you shouldn't use just latch it because the latch on the hood isn't welded in such as on stock hoods (at least not on VIS), they're epoxied in. And yes, someone did have a hood fly up and smash the windshield. I believe it was a CRX, and IIRC they had to go to the hospital to get all the glass taken out. Wasn't it richardchan2002?

Ya those are a great choice, Im not a fan of them either. I went with the flush aerocatch/top secret hoodpins.
