    Tornado watch for
City of Calgary continued tornado watch

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms with the potential to produce tornadoes.

These severe thunderstorms will also have the potential to produce very large hail..Flooding rain..Deadly lightning and powerful winds. Use this time to secure outdoor property and to ensure family members and co-workers are prepared to take action should the severe weather approach.

Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation closely for severe thunderstorm development and possible tornado warnings. Please continue to monitor your local media or weatheradio for further updates.

Should severe weather approach or if you feel threatened do not wait for warnings to take action..Take shelter immediately.

Should you spot a funnel cloud or tornado...And only if it is safe to do so...You can call 1-800-239-0484 to report your sighting. Please note this phone number is for reporting severe weather only.
At 4:50 PM radar indicates an area of severe thunderstorms have moved eastwards off the foothills. There have mainly been reports of quarter to loonie sized hail along with some wind damage near Crimson Lake. These storms are expected to continue tracking east southeastwards for the next hour.

A hot and humid airmass persists over south and central Alberta. An approaching jet stream from the bc interior is expected to trigger thunderstorms along the foothills this afternoon and track east northeastwards. Should these thunderstorms form there is a good chance they will produce severe weather. Remember some severe thunderstorms produce tornadoes.

Was just about to post this, heard another warning on CBC radio, Olds, Red Deer and Three Hills included.

It is funny, the warning for Calgary didn't come until about 3 mins into the CBC radio warning.

Too late for that, I was driving back from Edmonton, once I hit Airdrie I got fucked over from hail, my front windshield is cracked in 5 diff places, massive deep dents in hood, roof and trunk, doors...saw tons of cars on the side with their front windshields totally gone....does a new car warranty from dealership cover this damage?

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

i don't believe new car warranty covers that, but i am assuming that since its a new car, you probably have 2 way coverage with your insurance company. So all you need to do now is make a claim tomorrow morning.
