just think.....if things hadnt of gone the way they did, you could have been on your moms face.
My guess would be take the streetlight the view then use a tripod and timed exposure.
Edit: Funny, I type like I am drunk at 1:00 AM ...
I meant to say take the streetlight out of the frame.

So what exactly did you do to the picture?
Looks like a Contrast adjustment and a Sharpen filter of some kind, either USM or SS.Originally posted by Idratherbsidewayz

LOL, someone just msg'd me with a link to this thread. That second pic you are comparing to is a pic of my car that I took in August of 2006 at the end of the season....my last night shot ever.
Here is the picture:
Shot with my trusty Canon A75. Only adjustment made in pshop was sharpening. Everything else is untouched. Such a perfect location made for a really nice picture.
Settings: ISO 50, f/3.5, 2sec
Tripod is a must.
Sorry, I don't want to highjack the thread, but I gotta ask what rims are on the Jetta in that night shot?

I clicked the gallery link under Nismo's post and had an answer in seconds.
Give it a try!
it was damn easy. in photoshop go:
image>mode>lab color
then go under channels. should be in the layers pallet. if not, go under the window tab and click channels.
click lightness under channels tab.
then go to filter>sharpen>unsharpen mask. my settings that i prefered were 125/2.5/1
then go under image and change the mode back to RGB.
then layer>new adjustment layer>levels. mess with that until your satisifed and presto! you got a damn good looking photo. took me about 5 mins or less

I saved a link about doing pictures into HDR? Haven't done it yet, but the link explains how to do it.
