Default No more Cobalt SS/SC and Both G5, Ion and Cobalt Near End of Life

I just closed the window with the link to the article, so just take my world for it.

The Cobalt SS/SC will not be available in the '08 model year and GM will not produce any of it's Delta cars in 2010.

The Supercharged Cobalt was only available for half of '05, '06 and '07, a pretty short run. 5 years for the base model is also a very short model run for the company that kept the cavalier around for 20 years. A sign that GM understands that in order to catch up they can't sit on their models as long anymore?

I'm hoping they either rip off the Astra completely instead of just parts of it, or actually produce the Volt.

Wonder what we'll see next here? Hopefully the lumina (rip off from the holden) makes its way over here.

I wouldn't mind seeing some of those RWD cars posted on here before make it to production
    In reference to Rob Anders:

That is a short run in GM standard. Even Honda seems to stay on the same platform for 10 years. (3 year mmc, 5 year complete refresh)

They're already in production, there's no market for them in N America.

Looks like they were testing it in Detroit.....

If those make it over here as is, it will be the the 1st domestic I'll ever buy.

God the american auto companies are confused. They're trying too hard to copy toyota after it blew them away. They're trying to make cheap to build, cheap to run 4 bangers... but if you're in the market for one of those you're going to buy from who's been doing it the best, the longest. If chevy built those cars up there... in north america, I'd buy one. I'm sick of our watered down market because the manufacturers are only concerned with selling cheap cars by the mass.
