This looks like what I have. 8 - 4' ones. In Brentwood if you want to see the light they put out. If I did it again, I might have gone with the 8', but there is still lots of light.

interesting. I did not link these together, I wired up separate boxes for each fixture and hardwired them with a wall switch controlling all the fixtures. So I haven't had any phantom glow since there's no power to the fixtures when switch is off. I will keep an eye on them but so far all 4 that I installed are still going strong after a year. I did buy 2 extra fixtures as backups in case one shits the bed so I could have matching fixtures if that happens.

@benyl - asked my FIL what they put in their new build and he went off a recommendation from the electrician doing the work.

Garage is super bright with these, I can't remember how many he put in but it's an oversized triple attached and it's very bright.

I still have trouble finding BR20 or R20 LED bulbs. PAR20 is everywhere though.
    I just don’t get it….

ok. Looks like I have to source better ones. The costco reviews are pretty bad. but then again, the return policy is worth it.
We have those Costco Artika lights in our garage and zero problems.

Phillips 210 lumens per watt warm white. Seems to be introduced for European voltages first, but will probably make it to North america soon enough.

    What!!!??!??!!!?!
Do you hate your planet??!!?!? Clearly the multiple LED bulbs that I've bought which have completely failed after only 4 years of use is the path for us to stop the warming of A PLANET. I don't think you're seeing the big picture. If you buy try hard enough, just you can reduce the temperature of a planet, you dumb, Boomer, fuck stick!

I found these ones really good for the price. I put 4x in my 19x22 detached and it is bright as shit in there. If I was regularly working in there on detail stuff I would add another 2 or 4 fixtures.

Well this did not age well as all 4x fixtures I put up failed. LOL.

Bought 4x replacements from Home Depot.

I have switched most of my burnt out par20's to Philips. I have an issue with some of my bulbs that are very high up though. The philips par20 lens is a plastic one, with some kind of pattern on it. Suction cup tool does not stick to it. How to use an extension rod + suction cup on these things? Any tricks?

My house is not fancy enough to have ceilings that high. My par20 LN bulbs can be changed by standing on the back of one sub.

Even a decent quality bulb won't last that long. One of my original Philips Hue's started losing temperature range, and another started non-stop strobing. They are about 8 years old.

I've quit buying ecosmart bee-cuz PenIsMighty says the name is lies.
But really they all start flickering within a year. Rather the Phillips that appear to last longer so far.

The braniac that built our place put in 14 ft ceilings in the living room, and then recessed LED bulbs that you have to remove a vanity ring to access the bulb. I can't use one of those long poles with a suction cup to unscrew the bulb as I can't pull out the vanity ring and I dont own a ladder long enough to get up there. Plus I'm scared of falling off. I'll have to wait until a few more burn out and then pay someone to come over and change all of them.

I’ve had good luck with Phillips. Most of my Philips bulbs are over 10 years old with only a small handful that have failed. Pro tip, you can start a support case with Philips and they’ll send you replacements without receipts.

Most noticeable failures are the bulbs losing color temp and getting really yellow beside my garage heater.

Yeah I've replaced like two dead bulbs since whenever I started putting them it. The Crees were the ones that sucked shit.

You're confused. It's 13 years of bulb life total for the box, if you use each of them in succession in the same fixture. #marketing
