Default SAIT: Automotive Service Technician Fall 2007

Anyone on here in the SAIT: Automotive Service Technician Fall 2007 program?

I'm enrolled and just wanted to know if anyone on here will be attending as well.

sweet good to hear! Pulse crx, since it's your second year, I have a couple questions.

Is it necessary to take the SAIT program? or can a person just apprentice at a shop and take just the technical courses that are 2 months or so per apprenticeship year.

Was the 1st year beneficial in your opinion?

I noticed a huge price difference in tuition, in taking the just the technical training ($672) or the actual full year program at ~$4300. I realize you will get 16months of credit though after 2 years at SAIT.

You can just do the full apprentice through a shop, or you can take the SAIT AST program. I find that the program goes more into depth into theory, its a really good program and I will be going back for my 2nd year. Also good because you can work on your own cars!

Whoa what all do you have to buy? I'm not in the program or anything but I'm curious as to what they expect you to buy.

Anyone want to put up the list?

You can write that off from income tax while in school.
