Ahhh that pisses me off! I paid SOOOO much for mine just 2 years ago! More than double that actually! Haha I hate when technology comes down in price lol.
But in that time, you have used it and made more than $900.Originally posted by Melinda

I heard that full frame sensors experience a fair amount of vignetting when shooting at 16mm.
Have you noticed that at all?
I shoot with a 20D and havent had much problem at all. I really like shooting with the 16-35
Cool. My wife ordered the lens today and they said the reason this one is cheaper is that Canon has been able to minimize the vignetting on full frame bodies in the second generation lens (out now for $2000).
She shoots with a 30D so it wont matter to her either.
I've shot my 16-35 on a FF film camera. Didn't notice any vignetting.

Awesome deal!
If I were a canon shooter, I'd be all over this...
Didn't Canon come out with a version 2 of this lens? Is this the new one or the old one? Simply curious.
Yes they did.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

The new version has taken care of some of the vignetting that some photographers were experiencing with the version one lens and a full-frame body.
I have seen examples and it isnt that major. However for some it is.
The second version of the lens is $1950.
Shit, I just bought a used one for $800. I thought I was getting a steal of a deal. Oh well, still a nice lens and I'll get a lot of use out of it.
I use the lens a lot on my 35mm body and haven't noticed any vignetting at 16mm.
