Default Skyline Photoshoot! * detailed *

Since I had nothing to do yesterday, I decided to spend the better half of 6 hours Washing / Claying / Buffing / Waxing my vehicle.
Here were the products I used. Environmental friendly soap, Terry clothe, Meguiars Quick clay detailing system, Meguiars NXT Tech Wax.

    My procedure.
    1. Wash vehicle thoroughly with bio degradable soap.
    2. Dry with Magic clothe.
    3. Use Meguiars clay and clay the entire vehicle
    4. Wash vehicle thoroughly once again, removing all clay resadue.
    5. Buff vehicle down with terry clothe insuring no dirt, loose dust or contamanents reside
    6. Wax entire vehicle with Meguiars NXT wax
    7. Buff the vehicle once again with terry clothe
    8. Your shining!!

Here are the pictures, hope you enjoy!

little off topic but where did you find your clay bar. I went to both canadian tires in the NW as well as a walmart neither of them carried any brands of detailing clay.

    Auto value in crowfoot!!
    I purchased everything there.
    Meguiars detail clay
    Meguiars NXT generation wax
    Terry clothe
    4 extra wax pads

    for 65 bucks total!

Wax and detail was about 26 dollars each.

as for Chewy I'm still feeling the reprocussions in my legs, and back from spending 6 hours hunched over a vehicle detailing it.

Clay was the worst, took forever...
Wax was quick aproximately 2.5 hours I believe.

Meguiars is amazing, I was able to wax my entire vehicle before it fully dried and then just removed the wax from the entire vehicle, rather then doing it in spurts.

I could of spent alittle more time rubbing the wax into the paint, it may or may not have made it even shinier. I believe its when the wax hardens and sets in the paint that it makes the difference, and that is just what I allowed to happen.

Anyways, that was 6 hours I hope I dont have to do for a while

    hahahaha!!

Anyways going back to the topic, you should invest in a Porter cable random orbit machine. Cuts the work time to 1/2-1/3 of the time to do a full detail. You can still do the wait to make the car shine while you detail the interior. That's what I do for my car anyways. I even have the clay bar pad for the machine.

I will look into that come this fall / Spring.
It is a good idea however the money I'm throwing into my vehicle lately I dont have the extra money to go out and buy machine buffers etc.

I'd save the 150 or so and spend the extra 4 hours putting that extra bit of tender love and care into the vehicle by hand!.

Either way its expensive, the entire wax will maybe last me one more go.

The clay is no good now, I used the entire spray bottle.

I'm currently getting my front axle replaced! due to the fact it needs a rebuild or just get replaced all together.

After I'm finished I'm putting my vehicle up for sale. I won't post in the for sale section until I get my vehicle back, however I wanted to give everybody a heads up.

I'm selling for 10,500. If anybody is interested in a flawless GTS-4 with modifications pushing around 190 WHP - 250 HP at the flywheel give me a call 403-612-4666 I'll explain further about my vehicle, and will inform you when the vehicle is back from the shop!

    Thank you!.
