Did I just waste my money?

Hey guys, I just picked up a Xbox360 elite, and only grabbed one game so far, Dead Rising.

I don't have a High Def. TV yet (hoping by Xmas time), but I find it really f'in hard to read the text on my normal 32" TV, is this what it's going to be like for all games until I get a HD tv?

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be better to read nce you get yur high def. I'm currently using my XBOX 360 on my 32" and I'm liking it alot!

I would have waited to get the XBOX as well, apparently the prices are going to go down soon. And yes, the real fun of xbox isn't until you have a HDTV or something.

No, dead rising was just a special case where they made the text really small and hard to read and it was much easier on an hdtv, so no, it is not the lack of HDTV, it is capcom.

dead rising text is really small making it hard to see in a regular tv.

you wont have any problem with any other games

Lol, so out of ALL the games I could have grabbed, I picked the one that I can't use until I get a HD. Nice.

well it does play fine, you just cant really read anything and have to guess pretty much, so yes it was kind of a bad choice for a first game. kind of misleading i suppose.

think of it this way, atleast now you have another reason to buy an hdtv soon.

although unless your tv is smaller than 27" you shouldnt have that much problem playing the game.

sometimes i play xbox on my 36" tv that doesnt have HD, and its nearly impossible to read the scores, time left in the period on sports games like NHL 07, MADDEN 07.

I think you'll enjoy it alot more with a HDTV

Hey dude...I got a 32" LCD HDTV with componet, hdmi, vga inputs from Costco.ca for 720 bucks after shipping/taxes. Brand is DAYTEK, it isnt the best brand name, but the picture qualitity is amazing for the price. And there is no ghost effect at all.
