Default Looking For Older Porsche Parts

I currently have a 86 Porsche 944, I was wondering where i could purchase the turbo front and rear body parts, and also a turbo for the car.

Also, if there is a place in calgary that sells intake, exhaust, short throw and such for old porsches, could you please let me know, thanks.

Body parts, you can buy replica parts (much cheaper) from GT-Racing. It's available in both fiberglass and carbon fiber.

Turbo, it's not as simple as slapping on a turbo. The cylinder head is totally different, rods, pistons, manifolds, ecu, etc. If you want a turbo conversion, you're better off selling the 944 and buying a 951, you'll save a lot of money that way.

But if you are attached to the car, and want to improve it, there's S/C kits available, and I can help you out with tuning and advice on what to get. I have a '87 Turbo that's been modified extensively.

Oh yea, if you get a 944 turbo, you can build it up quite easily, seeing as Marc and I have poured tons of time/money/effort in figuring out what works and what doesn't.

Go to www.rennlist.com there are a lot of guys there that can help you out with finding the parts you need. Like rage said, GT-racing has some nice body parts. Check out www.vertexauto.com for stuff too. I find them to be very reasonable and the shipping is PROMPT.

Be careful when you buy the bumper, because 944 and 951 fenders are different, so you have to buy the whole package or a front clip that is designed to fit the n/a 944.

Ive played around with the idea of buying the turbo body parts, not worth it IMO. Better to keep the car looking stock and clean save some cash sell the na and buy a turbo

so i could buy replica body parts so it'll look like a turbo?

Also, if i can't turbo, can i still put on a s/c kit along with exhaust, etc.?

Intake, exhaust, tuneup and chip should give you anywhere between 20-30hp, lower it, add front and rear strut bars, and a nice set of rims and youll have a killer little car, Montgomery auto in calgary has a bunch of wrecked 944's if you need parts

well its a 86 n/a 944, which gives it like 150 horses. At first my mom told me it was a 89 944, and i thought I'd have this killer porsche with 208 horses, but not I'm stuck with this slow ass car, so I need something to greatly boost it.

Well have I got a place for you.

www.speedforceracing.com They sell a supercharging kit for the 944.

There's not much more than that you can do to "greatly boost "straightline performance from that car. You can definetly make her handle better though.
