Default Best baked goods in calgary

Next friday at my team meeting it is my turn to bring the food, usually we bring in some muffins or something for breakfast. I want to bring in something a little different, something along the lines of crave cupcakes but not crave because it is kind of overdone nowadays!

Any ideas? Best cookies/muffins/cakes in the city? Something unique and special?

There is a brand new bakery in Varsity.

Crowchild Square It use to be the flower shop. Didn't get a chance to try it, as it closed at 6 pm.

Word. Glamorgan Bakery is probably my second favourite bakery after the Rustic Sourdough Bakery on 17th. The Rustic Sourdough is more bread then muffins or cookies.

-Eiffel Tower on 17th SW - everything they sell is great - bread, quiches, deserts.

-European bakery on 17thave and 4th street SW - this place has terrible baked goods. The bread tastes like its from Safeway and the desserts are plain and uninspired.

-the Rustic Sourdough Bakery on 17th. where is this?

Im sick of muffins and pastries for breakfast meetings. Fruit platters, yougurt and granola, etc are great alternatives.

morning meetings used to be all pastries around here. a few people starting requesting healthy alternatives and now its about 60/40 for the fruit and healthy stuff.
