I think they're just wrong, whether convex or not. Your side mirrors should be positioned to allow you to see what is beside you. The rearview mirror should only be used to see what is behind you.

I have one because I don't want to smash into someone. G3 Integras have a bad blind spot. Or maybe its because I'm 5.9'.

I find it amusing that it is "Tacky or Not Tacky" and not "Beneficial or Useless" Always about looks it seems...

Yea I have one and I totally need it!!! I could'n't get use to the regular mirror when I go the car, that mirror have such small viewable area you might as weel not have one.. The only thing about Boardway mirror is make sure the Backside 's color matches your reg mirror.... my reg mirror is black and my add on mirror is silver.. now that's tacky I think.

It's good to use especially in SUV's, I have it on my Accord right now and when I get all that insurance stuff done for the Rex it'll be on there.

I think it's not a bad idea. It's easier to check if there are cars beside your car and incoming cars. Also, if you had some hot chicks in the back seat well, I'm sure you can figure it out

They aren't tacky, but I don't like them because they promote bad driving. Using the factory mirror on any car, with the side mirrors adjusted properly, and shoulder checking will result perfect visibility around you to allow for a safe lane change.

A quick way to tell if your side mirrors are adjusted incorrectly is by seeing if you see the side of your own car in them. If so, they are adjusted wrong and need to be moved outwards more so you cant see your own car.

Another useful tip is to lean forward while looking in the side mirror to check in any blindspots if they exist.
