Still getting used to this dog. First dog I have had that doesn't want to be far away from me, no matter where we are. I never have to keep him on leash, even on hikes he is never more than 40-50 feet away. He is always nearby and watching me. I can be on-site building and he will just be laying in the shade, not tethered, content to just watch. Never had a dog like that. Every other dog would just bolt and enjoy the freedom. Not Bandit.
This dog is seriously spoiling me.

That is so cool. My husky escaped a couple of times (kids left the door opened). She would pause, look at me and then turn away... and go on her walk at a pace just fast enough that I have to run to chase her down. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yup, that is exactly like every dog I have had before Bandit. If I took them out of the yard, it was on leash. If they escaped, I had to jump in my car and chase em down. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Bandit on the other hand, he will run, but never goes far, and comes back. Like I said, he won't let me get more than 50ish feet away before he chases me down.

So regrettably, our Staffy had to be put down a few months ago from stomach cancer. It was a hit and I haven't felt that rush of sadness in a long, long time. The house felt pretty empty for a while, but we wanted to wait until we had fully accepted the death before we moved on. Last week, we added "Dice" to our fam:
He's a shelter dog so we aren't sure what breeds he even is. I think black lab is predominant but there's other breeds that come though in his personality and slightly in appearance too.
No naps, only play.
As nice as this would be, I would encourage you to still leash your dog. Not for others safety as he seems like a good pup but for his safety. There may be other less nice dogs or wildlife out there and sometimes tethered control is necessary. Also, In most cases, it’s illegal. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. The bitch has the nerve to give me a bit of stink eye when I tell her to smile for the camera!
This is my third Airedale Miss Elly May, she just turned 2 years old a few days ago.
Hello? This is dog
Got my 7 year old pup Kaimera (blond mix) a pup. The little black one came up from a kill shelter in Texas. They figure shes 1.5 years old. Weve named her Onyx. Kinda crazy how quickly theyve gotten along. Constantly playing. My older pup has not shown any of her usual aggression/possessiveness to the new one at all. Shes got a long road ahead of her learning how to 'dog'.

This is my boy. Rottweiler whos 9. We got some pretty devastating news that hes developed bone cancer. Were hoping to keep him comfortable with meds and lots of love for the remainder of his days. Sadly its spread already.
Probably all of them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It is so hard to get Bandit to sit still for a picture that it is difficult to get a nice one of him.
God damn dog sitter comes in and starts sending one after another to us, all really good ones too.
But yeah, this is Bandit, 120lbs of Bernese Mountain dog and Great Pyraneese. 100% coward with the scariest bark.
