I'm looking at buying a black truck right now, but i notice the paint has kind of an orange peel effect to it. The paint still looks great except for this rippling effect. Are there any products out there that will take care of this??

Damn Skippy i'm with it
If it's due to repaint then some wetsanding and power polishing will take care of it for you.
+1 for richards advise... wet sand and polish, this weekend on the "Powerblock" on ch 43, they actually showed a great way to deal with issues such as those.

Hey there's a few guys here on beyond I can recommend to help you. As I have that problem too but it's all gone now, since I got my car re-painted.
Thanks,
Steve
Bad orange peel is from the lack of a good sand job. Thus the orange peel effect seeps through.
Wet sanding/polishing is expensive, so if its something you HAVE to get done..be ready to spend some mula if you need the whole truck done.
The weird thing is i'm sure this truck has never been repainted, so what would cause it then??

That's just the way certain car manufacturers are with their paint jobs. (speed of spraying, nozzle distance, nozzle pressure, etc...)Originally posted by Cypresskilla

Even the higher end cars will have orange peels, check out a black car and you'll still see it. Maybe not as noticable as the mass production rental-dump manufacturers; but still there.
