5th ave is probably the most popular place, lots of upscale shopping and well known stores. the street is endless so you can spend lots of time there

soho district is really cool too. there is an awesome addidas store there with breakdancers and a dj that spins there often

i forget the name of the store, but it sells brand name stuff for really cheap. i guess its like a winners, but a million times better. it was in the same area as the world trade center if i recall

I like H&M on 5th Ave a lot-- it's right by Rockefeller Center. The other big shopping spot that I remember is West Broadway, south of Time Square. And there are some good places in the Village if you like vintage.

The shopping is intense. Bring lots of $$$

There is also Madison Ave and a Mall at Columbus Circle.

Century 21 located in downtown (financial district) about a block from the WTC site.
