Heading there in a few weeks, should I just be running around Union Square?

i was actually just down there over the last long weekend.. there's quite a bit around union and stuff.. most of the maps/pamphlets from the airport show all the main shops around union and stuff.

i've heard you can find some really good deals if you head out of town towards sacramento/sonoma to the outlet areas.. probably have to rent a car though unless you already know people down there.. i can get more info if you want.

The mall down the hill from Union Square, Westfield I think it was called has a really nice food court. Its worth checking out. Pretty cool curving escalators too haha.

Yeh, Westfield is the mall you're thinking of. Not that many big brand name stores in there though, it's more of a jewelery mall. The food/grocery store in the basement is pretty cool, has lots of cool items to buy.

Basically just walk into EVERY SINGLE store in and around Union Square. All the baller brands are there. You can also rent a car and cross the bridge to San Jose to get away from all the tourists.

When you're downtown, AVOID WALKING TOWARDS THE TWIN PEAKS.

My brother works in the federal building, so I caught a ride with him downtown S.F. (when I was visiting), I thought the "twin peaks" were cool, started walking upwards towards that area... bad mistake.
