well i guess the only thing I have left is to let Visa know that the signature on their slip isn't mine and refuse to pay.

Just to clear things up, when companies purchase advertising on beyond.ca they get rights to advertise their products and services on the forum. They do not purchase special censorship privileges.
While users are free to share their negative experiences with any of our sponsors, these threads will not get special treatment and will be closed if things get out of hand. As suggested by other members, try to work things out with the shop privately before you complain.

Your better off telling them the truth, that you bought a faulty item and the store is refusing to honor their warranty. If you lie to them about signatures it will probably make you look worse and probably not work out in the end.Originally posted by tom_9109

Most cards have some sort of buyer protections.

MC- i believe their policy is if the customer is not satisfied and the product wasnt what they said it was, they will refund your money.
Just an update: I have got oil pressure now. the pump needed to be primed. so now the engine is good to go however the service I received was sub par. If anyone need s to prime an oil pump but doesn't want the lassle of taking off the oil pan to get it, take out your dipstick and put in a air compressor blower tip with 30 psi and turn the motor over for a while. got my pump primed and now its good to go.

Hmm shoulda tried priming it before starting this thread. Oh well glad to hear it is fixed and glad you didn't post the shops name too cause they gave you a good motor.
They still could have advised him of what he might want to try if it isn't pumping etc. no doubt they know how to prime an oil pump... If not they should have offered some assistance, just saying "oh, oops.. too bad" isn't good enough IMO.

seems like a recipe for rape
not to mention that even though the motor is good, the oil pan did need to be changed, the harness was butchered and the ecu was no where to be found.

Butchered harnesses are a commonplace thing, the dickheads in japan that are removing the engines and whatnot are fucking lazy, and dont understand that people pay for these things...
I just got a motor to install for a customer from a source i wont reveal (sr20det blacktop)
-power steering pump missing....
-all studs on o2 housing broke off
-Turbo is shot as far as i can tell by hand.
what a pain in the ass it made for me....its not like i have tons of extras laying around. Let me tell you, getting the studs out of the o2 housing when they are broke off is absolutely impossible because of the composition of the bolt. I COULD drill them for like 3 hrs but fuck that.
so....beware....make sure you do a thorough inspection of the engine, and if you can, do a compression test before you even drop it in.....some importers tend to lie and say they did a compression test when they really didnt, ie. I had an importer tell me a ca18det had 180 psi, which i already knew was bullshit, as the factory compression on one is 172, ON A NEW ENGINE. well, just to make sure, i did a compression test....try 150....nice try bud. Altho, in his defense...it was atleast even across all 4.
hey ca18det240sx
im liking the signature pic
You bump a 6 week old thread to comment on a signature?
do not used compressed air to prime an oil pump except as last resort!
it can very easily cause oil leaks! then you may be pulling an engine to do a rear main seal ect...
hey hakkola, nice signature, it was taken by a badass photographer i presumeOriginally posted by Hakkola
