Might be my browser settings but i have to shut down IE 6.0 (fully patched) to actually get threads to mark as read and sometimes that does not work.

Using any proxy servers with your IE?

at work yes ISA server + NAT and home just NAT.
ISA is probably caching it (web accelerator) and not recognizing a new date/time on the content. I noticed at home when I used the shaw proxy it does the same thing sporatically.
AFAIK, end users can't turn off the active caching of HTML with ISA.

I will have to check the settings on the ISA server but i am pretty sure that we have disabled most of it. The server we have that on only has 4g disk.
Thanks for the tip
Kyle
