What is all the hype about these Original Fake / Originafake Kaws??

A friend sent this to me, and I googled and didn't find much, which made me more curious. Beyonders are the best for random questions, so now I'm here looking for answers.

They're going for quite a bit on eBay. Anyone know what this is all about?

Its a KAWS product. Kaws is the same designer who does Bape and BBC but OriginalFake is strictly kaws design without Pharrell or Nigo.

what he said. and the reason for them being so expensive is because this is the world of urban toy collecting. kaws figures are mostly limited production/quantity, and as you can see, resale is jacked up ridiculously

they're just fad toys for hypebeasts. hence the price of them. like stated, they are made by Kaws who does a bunch of the Japanese LS stuff too. kinda gay IMO.
