Default leasing and financing on old/used vehicles.

Hey, I understand that car dealerships do not offer financing or leasing options on cars that are a certain age/used. I was wondering if there are any places here that are willing to offer such purchasing options on older cars, e.g 98 ITR.

    Thanks

Used vehicle leasing has not hit Canada yet, you can finance it however through banks, or a dozen or more other lending institutions, some dealers even have in-house financing
Looking for a new VW? How about a used vehicle? We are Central Albertas #1 source for pre-owned vehicles
I will beat any deal on a new VW for beyonders

My Wife leased her escort when it was 2 years old, been to quite a few dealerships that offer used vehicle leasing as well. Might not have hit Nunavit yet, but is sure as hell is in Cowtown.

You might be right man, automotive financing tends to differ from province to province, thats just what i was taught in Ont, guess my leasing and finance prof needs to broden his knowledge..thanks for the heads up Ill mention it in class
BTW which lending institution leased it too her?

I'm pretty sure it was Ford Credit.

They do offer leases, but I doubt you will get the rates that they are offering on new cars.

You can get a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a 0% lease or Finance. Yes, I did say 0% lease. (or at least that is what is was last month).

That is just because domestic brands have decided to artifically inflate their pricing in order to offer 0% financing. If you watch their pricing after Sept.11th, you'll see that the cost of financing has just been built into the base price.

In any case, a used vehicle is a good candidate for leasing due to slower depreciation.
