A buddy of mine uses it constantly as portable broadband. He hooked up a 12v to 110v inverter and can cruise around doing his job with his laptop online at all times. Word is is the speed is fine for email and surfing ... don't know how it is for streaming or heavy download. I also don't know if there are data limits.
I would think most people use it to physically move locations and remain connected with one account, not drive around like him.
great service, definitely recommend it as long as you have coverage.
i did the power inverter thing too for a while because i do a lot of work out of my vehicle and need internet service. Decent speeds and no download limits to my knowledge

The Rogers one gives access to over 100 Cities in Canada... what are some of the pros and cons in your experience of the bell one
Rogers' coverage in AB right now is Calgary, Cremona, Red Deer, Edmonton, Ft. Mac and Lacombe.Originally posted by signature7

That outdoor modem is big too, but if it's going to be mounted in a fixed location then you won't really care. It won't necessarily give you greater coverage but the external antenna will boost signal strength in weaker/fringe areas.

well with rogers you get max 1.5Mbps download speed, bell is max 3Mbps dowload speed. BUT that is dependent on your location and signal strength. For me I didn't notice a big difference in my shaw service.
just checked download caps, Rogers is 30gig and Bell is 10gig
