    Agreed, hot as hell. Hard as hell to keep clean and detail though.

    And although that car (it looks like an RX7 under all that, but I don't really know all my japanese cars...) looks sweet, rodded out Model A Fords look the best.

    Don't they use a satin "clear coat"? Or do they just wet-sand the clear with a coarser grain to get the satin look?

    Edit: A search turned up a hit for satin black enamel paint, which is just a non-gloss version of the shit they used to paint cars with in the 60's, etc. Rubbing compound would take care of minor nicks, but I don't think you'd want to wax it. It's pretty tough by the look of it, says they paint tractor trailers with it sometimes.

    But it doesn't take many 3000 mile trips to switch you to radials. Most rods you see running bias plys are trailer queens or making short hauls.

    And yes bare metal is hot as hell on the salt too
