You hit a sustained note or chord, you push down + release + repeat on sustained notes. For rock star bonus, use the whammy bar with the guitar between your legs or behind your head.

Can't wait. Now I just need to decide whether to buy just the game, or the bundle so I'll finally have a 2nd guitar. (for PS2)
Im such a GH virgin, I have no idea what sustained notes haha, Ill have to read up on it.Originally posted by rage2

Sustained notes are the ones with trails behind the notes.Originally posted by copynpaste

Whammy works on all sustained notes but will earn you more points to the star power meter on star power notes.
Once star meter is half full, any motion on the guitar will trigger star power which double current your multiplier. The fuller the star meter, the longer star power lasts.
I like holding my hand on the bar and then humping the guitar. Can't do it as fast but it's WAY more entertaining.Originally posted by rage2

does anyone know where they are still available for ps3???
I wish that they had the Kramer controller for the Xbox version. It looks so much more ergonomic compared to the Les Paul (pointy body edge always jabs my ribs)Originally posted by Inzane

get an lcd for anywhere, with the 120/240hz it's superior in all ways.
Really? I'm sorry but are you being serious here about doing that? Rock star status? Is that different than star power?Originally posted by rage2

you might laugh at my questions if you were just making stuff up, but I am a GH noob
He just means, if you want to look like a rock star, you have to play like a rock star ie. play the guitar with your teeth or do two handed tapping. It doesn't give you any points in the game, but will impress company.
Personally I find the new timing a lot better than it was in GH2. Its easier, but now I can get more into it without having to worry about missing a bunch of notes.
Anyone know any places that have the 360 bundle in stock today?!
Royal Oak walmart has gazillions of the 360 bundle... but no wii
Right now im looking for any place with a wii bundle..

i was calling around and no one had it but walmart, i was wondering why it was $88...
WTF is two hand tapping?
And is the wireless controller rechargable?
The 360 version use 2 AA, as far as I can tell, not rechargeable via guitar.Originally posted by bspot

What does the PS2 version come bundled with... is it a wireless controller or wired? (I'll probably be more likely to get the bundle if its wireless)
^^^^^
It's wireless.
I always thought the PS2 got the wired controller while the PS3, Wii, and 360 got the wireless.
