burning movie onto dvd question

What I have....

Dvd Burner
Mr.Brooks .avi format
Blank dvd+r discs

How do I burn the .avi file onto the dvd's so that I can play them on my dvd player hooked up to the tv?

Use Nero Vision to create a DVD from video files.
Buy dvd-r's
Burn the .nrg iso that Nero Vision created onto said dvd-r's


Redownload the movie in a dvd format so that someone else has already done the grunt work
Buy dvd-r's
Burn said dvd onto said dvd-r's

I use TMPGEnc to encode the .avi or other formats to mpeg, which is a DVD format. This re-encoding enhances the video or do what I want like cropping, color correction etc...

Once that re-encoding is done and depending on fast your computer it may take several hours... like 8...

Then I use the TMPGEnc DVD Author to burn it, but it puts out a Video_TS and Audio_TS folder which is found on DVDs and then you burn it onto a DVD and wala you have yourself a DVD.

There are much more complicated steps involved and I suggest you read up on it. Try something like dvdcopy.com if that works or google it. Sorry could be much more of a help. Just PM me if you want.
