    Default Good Fishing Holes?

I have always been wanting to go fishing...but I have no idea where to go in Alberta, I usually go fishing in Saskatchewan, but I am too lazy to drive all that way. Any suggestions?

Hehe... I posted a similar thread a few weeks back. I found a pond up near Airdrie that is stocked with Rainbow . I caught 3 on Friday night. I also found out about a small lake near Crossfield ,just north of Calgary. I'm going to check it out on Tuesday.

What kinda of fishing, Hardware fishing or Fly?
For Fly fishing, the highwood and the elbow(near springbank) are hard to beat... Big browns in the Elbow, big rainbow in the highwood...
For harware fishing, Langdon corner, or chainlakes..Maxt

I've been to Sheep River and Lake MacGregor(sp). Use to skip school to go fishing.

If you're flyfishing there a lot of really great place in K-Country if you willing to climb. Just be sure to pay attention to the regulations, they can become confusing sometimes if your not paying attention. Two of my favorite lakes are Rawson Lake and Chester Lake. Both are about 4-5 Km hike to get to them, but very much worth the trip.
