looking for something called tach gen.
I was trying to install remote starter in my hilux but cant find a usable tach signal wire. So i need tach Signal Generator.
Anybody know where can i find this in calgary??

There is one, I assure you. Keep attaching your voltmeter to things until you get a signal

try using AC instead of DC on your volt meter and take it from one of the coil's you should see a reading from 1 - 8 V's

i tried. a remote starter needs atleast 60 hz and 1.6 volts ac.
on toyota hilux diesel tach is driven by varying negative voltage , so that cant be used.
i have seached everywhere , at ecu, sensors, instrument panel but no avail
