Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
Why do we have all these sait/devry people claiming to be engineers? Learn to read your degree it says TECHNOLOGY/IST... Unless you have a BsC in Engineering this thread does not apply to you. And a fake BsC from devry doesn't qualify either.
EE here two years from P.Eng

The engineering profession is regulated, and only those who have received a degree from a four year, accredited institution should be calling themselves engineers. If anyone got the last PEGG in the mail, there was a little blurb regarding people declaring themselves engineers because they have a diploma or certificate in some technical field.
This is similar to how people buying a PhD from an online university and declaring themselves doctors defiles the hard work of those that have actually earned their degree the proper way.
Having everyone declare themselves engineers after having completed their easy 2 year diploma cheapens the profession.

Gee I don't know...when you posted in a thread titled "who's an engineer here at beyond.ca"Originally posted by Rat Fink
Hey queer bait....maybe you should pull the cock out of your mouth so you can read the computer screen a little better.
NOTE: I said I was a TECHNOLOGIST
NOTE 2: I said I graduated from the Aeronautical Engineering TECHNOLOGY program.
Where did I claim to be an engineer?
Idiot.

Hey Rat, what kind of work are you doing as an aeromechanical tech? Don't see a lot of that here in Alberta, sounds interesting.
And don't worry about boredengineer... he feels the need to look down on techs and SAIT because the rest of the universities in Canada look down on the UofC

To stir the pot a bit more I actually find that the majority of junior level (and some senior level) technologists are more knowledgeable and have better real world applied skills than engineers.
Not to mention, engineers are a dime a dozen in Calgary.
