Alberta Considering New Look For License Plates **Vote for no front plate!!**

If you don't want the front plate, maybe you guys should think of other implications of having the front plate besides it's not going to look nice, or having to put the mount back on the front.

FRONT PLATE MEANS THEY CAN CATCH YOU ON PHOTO RADAR FROM THE FRONT!!! the photo radar vans in the states are set up to catch in both directions.

I said no to front plate.
I would like to have different colour plates. Mine would be Black with White letters. It'll look nicer on my black car.

I voted no for GPS also.
but I would say "yes" to mandatory GPS for people convicted of driving related crimes. Ex: drinking and Driving, Street Racing, Excessive amounts of tickets for speeding & dangerous driving. And I would support this also for being used to monitor sex offenders and other selected criminals.

about a week ago I started a facebook group for being against the front plate and put the link to the survey on there too. trying to draw as much attention to this as possible.

not only does it screw the looks of your car, it's a total waste of our tax dollars, just unreal that they would even consider putting it back on.

ridiculous evidence of our gov't at work again. meh.

Totally ready to get flamed... but I voted FOR the front plates.
I think having a better chance to catch people speeding/hit & runs is a good thing.
I'd be more than happy to pay more taxes for front plates.

what if you own a dealer plate? dont tell me you need to put two plates on the car eveytime you go on a test drive?

Saskatchewan got rid of the front plate about two years ago.

Its a waste of taxpayers' dollars and a waste of metal.

Front plates destroy cars. Seriously you look at a car in alberta and its fucking sexy, then you look at pics of cars in the states or other places in canada and its ghastly.

Theres no real valid reason for them, the cop doesnt have time to read your plate backwards in his rear view mirror and enter in the info into his computer, if anything it makes police checking plates like that a hazzard on the road!

So far, according to the government 25,000 people have taken the survey. The survey ends at the end of January. Please no front plate.
