    Funny how they call it a "sea scorpion". It is actually an arthopod, more specifically, a Pterygotus of the class, Chelicerata.

    This particular specimen wasn't a conventional "scorpion" in the sense that it didn't have a poisonous sting or stinger (it's cousin, the Eurypterid, was more of a scorpion since it did have a spiny telson), but it was a predator. Think of it more like a giant shrimp or lobster.

    The media always dumbs things down for the masses. I think even looking at the picture it shows that it looks more like a massive lobster heh.

    Damn....this really dissapointed me, I thought a couple scientists may have had to fight some sort of giant 10 foot tall centipede or something, you know....real, in our time not something that lived hundreds of millions of years ago.......

    Still cool though.
