Question Koenig Ferrari 360 VS Koenig Ferrari 550

    http://www.koenig-specials.com/ferrari/ferrari.html

    Check this out:

Go to Ferrari 360, engine tuning, and performance.. Then go to Ferrari 550, engine tuning, and performance.. The 550 has much more horsepower, but they're the same speed on the quarter mile.. 360 has a lighter chassis, so it'll probably be better at cornering too.. I always thought the 360 would never beat the extra 100-200 horses, but i guess it's not possible.. Sort of like Rage vs Kenny, only Rage can't win :p

Given the choice I'd still want the F50.
    Who needs power windows?

I have to agree. The F50 is a REAL ferrari. None of this power crap, no heavy interior or other shit, just pure performance

From the pictures I have seen, most of the ferraris appear to be a shrine to beautiful bovines inside. Like the japanese super cars, as time passes peoples expectations of a $200k car change and they want more luxury and less of the performance stuff. Ferrari has been giving them this gradually over time. The cars DO at least put out more horsepower, but they get heavier and heavier with every new generation. Just for a moment, lets stop and compare curb weights. The regular F50 (not the GT) weights in at 2700 lbs. The 550 Barchetta Pininfarina weighs in at 3700 lbs. Despite the 550 producing almost 100 lb/ft more torque the F50 beats it to 60mph by close to a second. Now, I realize all of the extra 1000 lbs of weight isn't in the interior, but I'm willing to bet a sizable portion of it, at least 2-300 lbs is.

    couple hundred pounds sure

but their interiors are still pretty bare and crappy when compared to luxury cares :p

i'd still settle for ANY ferrari though!

edit: I think the average ferrari drivers weighs a couple hundred pounds himself!
