Ron Paul has some excellent, inspirational ideas and positions, and some pretty bad ones that a lot of people conveniently ignore. But on the whole, I think he is probably the best thing for America right now.

But, skip ahead to 2:40, RP doesn't believe in evolution:

This is along with being opposed to socialized medicine and abortion.

Go to you tube and type in ron paul, and just watch a couple short vids.

Seems to be the only honest politician around, with great integrity. Politician from Texas for 20+ years, is pro liberty, anti Iraq war, anti WTO, Anti taxes etc.... served on the treasury board, and actually has a BRAIN.

His views on abortion are not relevant as he only stated that abortion is not, and should not be a Federal matter.

As for socialized medicine... this is more complicated then that, as he blames government interference for its failure, and the creation of those crooks, the HMO's...agine due to Nixon and crooked government.... so...

His message is more or less that Federal Government needs to be cut back and quit interfering with certain areas, as they fuck it up, or have down right acted in a corrupt manner.

He's the best candidate but his non-politician ways while fresh will not get him elected.

Wow TOMA I can't believe you're backing a republican, I thought for sure you'd be downing all candidates as there's no true socialist in the running, haha. I do like some of his idea but honestly it doesn't look like he has a hope in hell the demos are too strong as there are too many people wanting the government to fix their lives down there.

Yeah, why let one government be corrupt and stupid when you can have 50 governments be corrupt and stupid, and without the safety nets that opposing view points bring at the Federal level to keep things from getting exponentially more stupid and corrupt

Everyone outside of the US supports Ron Paul.

Too bad he doesin't have near enough support inside the country.

I hope he does pull an upset though.

Ron Paul is the only true candidate for the people. The rest are a bunch of corrupt crony used car salesmen that would sell their own mothers for power and wealth. And if they'd do that you can imagine how much they really give a shit about the American people. Every Republican and Democrat outside of Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are in the pockets of the Military Industrial Complex

His views on abortion are politically savvy but are essentially a huge waste of time for everybody. If it goes to state-by-state legislature Pennsylvannia could ban abortion but New York keep it legal. While on couldn't get an abortion in Philadelphia they could make a quick drive to New York City. Politicians get religious support but everything stays the same, an absolutely useless policy.

He's trying to find a scapegoat. Nixon was the man who implemented it, but there was only one possible outcome in a private dominant medical system. When corporations are legally obligated to maximize profits for their shareholders it wouldn't have mattered if Nixon, Regan or Roosevelt created it, there would be the same outcome. If the government doesn't step in and interfere in the U.S. healthcare system, there would be no Medicaid, Medicare and other state sponsored medical programs that support millions. Its the HMO system that failed because of what HMOs are. Not the government 'interfering.'

Government "interference" is needed in healthcare. The U.S. not being a welfare state is in no way capable of supporting universal healthcare which is why HMOs lead the way which is why the U.S. system is the way it is. If I'm a Blue Cross shareholder, its their obligation to me to pay for as few claims as they can.

His message is more or less that Federal Government needs to be cut back and quit interfering with certain areas, as they fuck it up, or have down right acted in a corrupt manner.
So instead state governments can interfere in certain areas and fuck up.

Ron Paul is an extremely skilled politician. Unfortunetely his fiscal policies will make the U.S. economic stance even worse and his idea of power distribution is completely out of whack.
