dog smell

since we got our new dog... our whole house smells like dog too! i wash him every 3 days or so and spray this berry perfume on too!
how do i make it less smelly?!

use baby powder on your dog... if you do that every day, it will absorb the smell, and smell good in the house as well!!!

Go to a local veterinarian and explain the situation. It could be something as simple as the dogs diet or perhaps he needs his anal glands cleaned (if this is the problem the dog will usually wipe it on the floor but that only helps so much). Either way a vet should be able to point you in the right direction. It could also be the shampoo you use is cheap and sucks. Animals need special shampoo too! HTH

well, you just use it in moderation. you sprinkle a little on his back, and then rub it in with your hand. And if he decides to lick it, since their isn't much it won't be bad for him. i had a pug (an extremely stinky dog) and it worked awesome.

Vets have special shampoos, but you can also goto L'Occitane at Chinook, they have this spray water that makes the house smell good. I get that stuff and use it in my apartment... nice refreshing smell, they have like 5 different scents. Or you can go cheap and Febreeze your entire house.

heh, dont put your dog in the car either. the smell will stay there forever!! we get a couple cars in the shop asking for shampooed interior to get rid of the dog smell. it doesnt go away. the mix of shampooed interior and the dog smell will make you sick. it sure as hell makes me sick.

what kind of dog is it? bathing most dogs often isnt a good idea... their skin isnt the same as ours.

ya u usualy wash dogs at minium of once every two weeks, that i dont know what kind of stink smell u have but it's dog smell, if u like dogs the smell shouldnt bother u at all.

or it might just be that he or she is rolling in some poop.
