if it's an unlock code, try searching online for the generator, you get several chances at it anyways
there are forums dedicated to this, i've tried them with success long ago with 2 7210's

i'd hate paying some fuckers money for something they d/l'ed from the internet

Heads up though on the "random" trying method...

Alot of phone if you enter the wrong code 10 times, the phone will go into hard lock/reset mode.

Laffles, like everyone I talk to here (in Japan) have no clue about Nokia. A lot don't even know it is a phone manufacturing company let alone that it exists.

only way to fix is to use an unlock cable and reflash
and from what i remember, it's less than ten times, something like 3-5 tries

I tried unlocking my Cingular Nokia with 3 codes and now it says "Cannot undo restriction". Not worth enough to flash it, so Im selling it on Ebay.

well when all else fails try jpcellular in vancouver if you get a chance to
the shop has so many cables and programs!
usually when i get in touch with a locked phone, i unlock it there + a reflash of firmware (instead of using davinci ie. for SE phones) for about $40-50 bux
this would be for phones that cannnot be unlocked simply by code

make sure you are sure that the place you bring it to knows what it's doing. i have yet to hear a reflash/unlock place give you a free replacement phone for fucking it up. i also don't trust places locally as calgary's not that updated with cellular technology. most i see is a computer terminal and glass display cases that make up a shop here
