Door lock problem

ok so here's the issue when I lock my doors, the same way I have been for the past 2 years, the locks are making a funny noise, they keep on clicking like are still trying to lock, takes about 6 or 7 times for it to finally stop and the doors lock the first time I push the button but it's starting to get tiresome waiting by the car until it stops... any suggestions?

I would try putting some WD40 on the latch mechanism first.

ok I think I know what you are talking about... is that were the door and the body come together to make a "V" when the door is open? Sorry for the horrible description. Or do I need to take the door panel off to get to the latch? thanks man...
