What has become of beyond. Lots of people talk so much shit on beyond now all the threads are about whose faster , whose goin turbo. U know why cuz people who have 20g in extra modifications actual show cars are afraid to post on beyond for the fact that everything to you guys is considered rice.
Impressions , silent rage gettin dissed but how many of u actually help the car scene by entering your cars in shows.

Ya ya , speed is cool but how many times do you know if the car u see on the road is actually fast. I bet you that more people will turn to look at a car with 18 inch wheels and a full body kit than a car with a intercooler.

Now u post a pic of a car and u get dissed cuz ur on 18inch wheels or like vsmsir 19s . Oh sorry they aint 15s n black rotas but i thought people mod their car on the outside to get noticed.

Soon the definition of a nice car we'll be a stock car.

Anyway, people are always going to have opinions. And being a car forum, everything is subjective. Don't take too much of it to heart, you can't impress everyone. There will always be a show and performance crowd.

But I do agree with you, we have a lot of freaking losers on this site that I am just itching to ban

justin i must say that i have to agree with u 100%!!

all the times that vsmsir posts about his wheels or about his acre being all show somebody is like u shouldnt waste ur $$ on usless 19's when u coulda put that towards a turbo! but if u like practlically how much $$ would u be willin to put towards performance when if all u want is speed then u might as well buy a BMW M3 or a Ferarri! then all ull have is speed! but for the show sceeane havein an sir, integra or accord we mod them for looks and if the budget allows then some speed! but IMO true fast cars are not our everyday imports!

as for ppl dissin impression and silent rage along with other companies people need to realize that both shops have some of the nicest show cars in calgary with some having a good amount of go, like loren's turbo crx or even just an amazing show car and in my perosnal opinion the best show car in calgary being marlons civic! lets not forget nicks turbo prelude which also has amazing show status but notbody really flames him for his 19's all because he has go!

That's so true! Us "ricers" don't say anything negative about track cars/fast cars that don't have any show. So why do all the ppl on this forum diss all the show cars that don't have go? When you buy a car, performance AND looks is a factor. Right? So why diss the ppl out there that are more into the looks that the speed? Respect to cars like the STi and EVO 8, but would you still want that car if it was fugly? probably not. Why? cause looks matter. Us guys should know, cause we're all into all the hotties, but don't really look twice at the girl who's got a "great personality".

Now we don't want to set a precedent saying that just because you don't have a nice car and or nice mods, you can't comment on others. But if people are just willing to take the courtesy and post 'constructive comments', then all is good.

For example, I hate Cavaliers and would never buy one, let alone modding one. But as an enthusiast, I respect what the owner has done. I did myself a favor by not responding to that thread. If you people would start doing this, then we wouldn't have flame wars!!!

Some ppl spend all their money on making a car look nice, or to "turn heads"

Personally, I'm in it to learn about cars, to make them quicker and run better and to get to know other enthusiasts. I don't want to turn any heads except those of other enthusiasts like me. Customizing the exterior of a car is expensive and can reduce safety, performance etc. Customizing the exterior should certainly be a priority, but it shouldn't cost more than the car itself, reduce safety or driveablilty in anyway, and should be done for the sole purpose of personalizing your ride, not done to give other people something to look at.

If all you're after with customizing your car is to get noticed, then you're not a car enthusiast, a tuner, a hotrodder, whatever, you're using a car and your money so you can get some looks on the street. Reminds me of the guy on that hyundai commercial "I love my new Tiburon. Because I like to get noticed."

maybe this person (i have no clue who you are talkin about and/or if these comments were against you directly....) spent all of their own money on purchasing the car with no assistance from anybody....thus having no extra money to spend on mods (ie..still saving up $$ to buy mods). Different people are in different situations and you have got to think about this before saying that "someone told you off" even though they have a worse car than you. Just because their car is not great doesn't mean they can't voice their opinion.

however, if this person is a total fool openly insulting somebody's work then just leave them alone...he/she is an idiot so there is no point in even bothering to argue over it

well everyone has a different opinion, so i dont think its fair to label beyond.ca as an entire group that hates show cars and calls show cars rice.

i also think that if u want ppl to respect show cars for what they are, then u should also respect the track cars by not saying stuff like...

BTW, for the record, in that Cavalier thread, I wasn't dissing Impressions because their cars are slow or because they're show cars, I was dissing their attitudes

Fools deliberatly who go out of their way to insult someones ride/shop above and beyond normal expected criticism will be Banned...Re-registers will be banned again.

I've made alot of friends over at SilentRage and have learned they are truly a great grop of individuals, they dont deserve to be insulted. They run a business, not a charity, and they provide a service to people who need it.
