    Default Canon Lenses Sale

Some of the Canon lenses are on sale at Vistek.
I don't know if they are great deals but they seem okay.

the camera store still has better prices. But I'll bet vistek would match the camera store prices anyhow.

^^ Haha no, they don't. Vistek is evil about price matching and they ALWAYS overcharge for everything.

Vistek price matched the Camera Store when I picked up my 24-105. Although you'd be better off buying from BHPhoto or some other US retailer.

Vistek matched The Camera Store's price for me twice, no questions asked, AND took an additional 5% off of the Camera Store Price. I even told them TCS was out of stock and they still did it.

Hmm, really? I used to ask if they would match prices but they always said no. This was a few years ago though. I stopped shopping there for that reason.

This was less than a year ago so their policies may have changed. I also went to the "commercial sales" desk at the back, having never been in the store before - not sure if that contributed to my discount or not. This was the downtown location.

Their normal prices, however, that they are happy to let anyone pay if you don't match a lower price, are often WAY too high.

The Camera Store has better service anyways so I never bother going to Vistek. You'll be lucky if you ever see a Vistek guy step out from behind their counter to show you something.

wow I've had a diff experience from most.
I got pretty good service from Vistek. I had a few people spend some time helping me.

Was at TCS to get a bag and tripod and no one bothered with me. So I just picked up something little. When I went to pay the lady just punched in the price and walked off. I swiped my debit, ripped the receipt from their machine and just walked out.

Well anyways interested in getting a Canon 10-22 but seems like TCS is still cheaper after Vistek sale.

^^^ I don't think I've ever been in TCS for more than a min or 2 before being asked if I was OK, even when they're busy.

I'm not 100% on Canon, but I've heard things about Nikon lenses not being serviced in Canada, if they're USA purchased.. Which means you have to send it to California to get serviced instead..

If Canon is the same, it might be worth taking into consideration if buying online.

I buy stuff from USA and get it serviced here under warranty no problems at all, except for the fact that Canon canada sucks balls at repairing stuff.

    ^^ true that.

when i sent my lens in to repair (wouldnt focus, something was loose) they sent it back repaired and said nothing was wrong on the service slip.
