Can't play online: Call of duty 4 PS3
Hey just seeing if anyone else has had any problems getting online. When I first got the game I had no problem getting online and playing now It keeps freezing up on the downloading setting screen and then says there is no ethernet plugged in and signs me out of the playstation network. Then it kicks you out of the online screen because you must be signed in. This is the only game I am having problems with. Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Cant say that I have had that problem, They might have been doing updates but that would last maybe a day or two. I've just picked up the game this weekend and havent had a problem yet.
Are you wireless or hardwired into your hub?

i to am having the same problem only with c.o.d 4. it wont let me play online cos it get stuck when its downloading settings.

What setting are you downloading? i've never seen that come up for me yet.

It does that when you first login Jon. I have problems every now and then too, just keep exiting and retrying until it works. Shouldn't take too long.Originally posted by EFHatch

It worked fine for about a week and then it started doing it again. it either works the first time or doesn't work at all. Even if a keep trying to go back into the lobby. Could there be a problem with my router?

possibly unplug your ps3?

i just tried unplugging the router and trying again. Still doesn't work.

Somebody told me it's because they're doing server updates. It has happened to me before, so I check the PS Website in the COD forum....most users posted that it was because of the servers. Takes a day or so, then it should be up again.
I played R6Vegas for the time being.
