how dissapointed was the NHL all star game

Yeah, me too. Like, they didn't even play at all, they just had skills competitions! Worst All-Start Game ever.

Skills comp isn't anything special ever.

If they figure out how to do that breakaway competition properly it will be better to watch.

And an obstacle course should be a real obstacle course like the redbull one.

I thought it was pretty sweet, way better than last year. young stars game was very entertaining, the goalies got tuned haha. kinds disapponted in ovechkins creative breakaway attempts, and the goalies shouldn't be allowed to pokecheck, overall i though Getzlafs attempts were sweet...judges were weak.

its a skills competition, what do you expect? Personally, I thought it was way better than last years. Who would have thought Phaneuf could razzle dazzle like that?

Well aside from the new relay bust, the messed up fastest skater competition and a breakaway contest that was no better than the shootout I'd say it was pretty good.

Seriously, how could two players who lost their heats skate in the final for fastest skater?

And thank god Ovechkin at least tried something, as anti-climactic as it was. They should have brought Sam Gagner back from the dressing room.

I don't think they should have a goalie for that very last competition. Takes away from it completely. The draw for the fans is seeing talented players attempt things they wouldn't do in a game. Having a goalie there is pointless.

I think next year they'll re-vamp it so there is no goalie, at least for the judged shootout portion. Goalies get no love in the all star competition!

It wasn't that bad, I found it pretty entertaining. The breakaway contest would've been a complete letdown had Ovechkin (and to a lesser extent, Getzlaf) not tried to hotdog it a bit.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game.

lol you cant have a breakaway without a goalie. it is absolutely pointless and would not work in any way shape or form. in my opinion of course

It WAS dissappointing this year. Still watched it as I am a fan of hockey but personally not a big fan of NHL All-Star weekends. The NBA ones are alot more entertaining and star-studded
