Angry Removing frozen egg from car

Some idiots threw an egg at my car during the night, and since its -30 outside right now it froze onto the car.
Does anyone have any ideas how to remove the egg from the car without causing too much if any damage to the paint?

Just go to the car wash and then dry it and go park indoors somewhere till the windows/locks dry out if you don't have a heated garage. No damage, clean car, and time wasted shopping/movie at chinook or something similar.

I can think of two viable options.

    a) Go through a car wash. (the how water will get it off and at the same time you can get the salt off as well.)

    b) Leave it on until it gets warmer, and then try getting it off with a cloth and warm water.
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

Yeah i would just take a super hot bucket of water and car soap and just try to soak it with a cloth if ur worried about it. Most car washes arnt even open when its this cold.

If you can find an open wand wash facility in this weather, go spend a couple bucks and blast that shit with some hot soapy water.

Don't use the wand. Egg will take trim paint off very quickly. Get it inside and wash it off gently with a sponge.

My old Escort had a nice chunk of paint missing from exactly the same thing.

i had this happent to me couple months ago, parked car outside my house and some punk kids threw a couple of eggs at my car.

i worked downtown then, so i parked the car in the bankerhalls underground parking, its heated.

after my shift i cleaned off the egg with some soap and the windshield cleaner they provide there for free.

No worries. Damn kids with nothing better to do. This is why I keep a paintball gun in the garage...

Warning if u do use wand wash its the after math you after worrie about. Make sure you dry all doors very well. You may have a hard time getting your windows down, and a change of wrecking something in the doors if the windows are frozen, and u will need to put lock de-icer in your locks if you want to get into your car later.
I have been through this the hard way lol.

Alternatively, you could leave it outside again and hope they come by and add some ham, cheese and onions to it tonight. Omelete-mobile FTW!

just an idea...if you have goo-gone,..try using that on the problem area....i'd suggest...warming the area first with warm water, blow dryer etc..and then applying the goo gone...

i used it to debadge my car and got the sticker residue off...worked like a charm.
