Seems like people missed my second post.

It was 2 large boxes and they were shipped the week of November 27th (nearly 8 weeks ago).

USPS doesn't provide tracking information, they really only have delivery confimation.

They were insured and the selling is going to fight that battle with USPS, I'm just hoping there's still a chance they'll show up as like I said they can't be replaced.

I dunno what you mean about there not being a tracking number... Every time I have had stuff shipped to me the past year via USPS there has been a tracking number. then you go on http://www.usps.com and enter it in the tracking box.

I think it depends on shipping method. Mine didnt come with a tracking number either. The company i bought from actually send me a replacement thru Fedex, they just assume the first one they sent was lost in trasit. I got the replacement sent by fedex, then received the orginal package a month later.... Its pretty stupid but I got a 2 for 1 deal.

Ask the seller for the customs declaration number. Pretty much anything leaving the US is considered international so in order to ship something up here, they have to (without a doubt) fill out a customs form which always has a number. With this number you can use it to call customs to find out what the status is if there is any problems. Because it's mandatory to fill out one of these forms, you can be assured that the item is legitmately shipped if you were provided with one. So even if the shipping method the seller used doesn't provide a tracking number you can ask for the customs delcaration number as a back up. The one and only time I ever had a real problem with not recieving an item was when the seller refused to give me a delcaration number. Good luck getting your rims.

i only wait until the maximum time allowable by VISA to contest the purchase.

The day before that runs out, I just assume the package is never showing up, call VISA, and get my money back.

In the cases where it shows up after, I just decline accepting the package, and it is returned to sender.

Yeah same for me ordered wheels from California last year and they took about 3 weeks for 3 to show up and another week for the forth one to come.

I haven't had to wait more than about 6 weeks but it does take quite a bit of time.

I have also gotten a tracking number for every item shipped to me through usps so I know they do offer it even for snail mail.

Maybe the selling didn't want to pay that little extra

+1 I've waited well over a month for a couple gauges that were shipped from CO.. Really depends on how fast they want to process it..

Still waiting on a package from Texas to arrive...sent Jan.9
Guessing it should be no larger then a shoebox size but I think the declared value is $180. I'm thinking it's being held up at customs.
