    crazy thing is i used to walk this path roughly the same time lots of fridays heading downtown up until a couple weeks ago when i moved. i lived not even a block away from the murder

    Yea I heard this a day after the death from a coworker who's mother was at the scene, she said in all here time dealing with dead bodies in calgary she's never seen someone beaten so badly...

    Poor woman. She had all her family back home, and was working overseas to make money so she could bring them to a better life. Now this nutcase goes and kills her for no reason whatsoever.

    I for one believe there will be more justice in this case than others in this thread. I'd say they give him 18, out in 12. Which is still a small price to pay for taking an innocent's life. Bastard.

    I really didn't think they would catch him unless it was on video footage from the train station.. and sure enough - that's why he was charged. The only question now is whether they have enough to convict him. The station video would only show him, and him heading in her direction... but would not show the action. And with no witnesses....

    well at least they caught him.
    he had prior charges in 2006 and 2007 according to the news and was granted bail each time.
