In 88 my dad worked for the city in the Electrical dept. and he volunteered to hang the Olympic flags on all the city's lightposts. In return, they were allowed to take a few flags afterwards as momentos, so I have 2 of the olympic flags at home in mint shape. I've had to rescue them from being thrown out quite a few times over the last 20 years haha!!
I'll see if I can post up a pic later..
I was 14 when the O's were in town, I remember hooking up with a 16 year old chick down at olympic square during one of the awards ceremonies.. ah the memories..
There was over 100,000 people down there for the awards, lights, fireworks ect. what an awesome show!

oh, Up until about 5 years ago I had all the newspapers from every day the olympics were on, but I got tired of moving them and threw them in the recycling. Wish I still had them!
