    Default Air intake filter cleaner

Does anyone know where I can find AEM air intake filter cleaning solution kit? Do you guys have experience using other brands other than AEM? I figure it's about time to clean and lube up my CAI filter .... Thanks guys.

Just get a K&N cleaning kit. Works just as well, and is a hell of a lot easier to find.

I used it on my AEM filter with no problems.

The AEM intake comes with a K&N filter anyways doesn't it?
So the K&N kit should be fine.

I got mine from Crappy Tires... I have the K&N, which is the same thing... it's like $15-20...

Newer AEM intakes have AEM filters instead of K&N... they "supposedly" give like 1-2 more hp... yea right... just a marketing gimick for cost reduction...

I got a K&N cleaning kit, worked fine but made a mess and took forever to dry... IMO it's easier to just get a new filter, what's another $20-$25

what are you talking about? The cone filters cost about $70 and up...i think $167US for the filter only is a bit steep but who knows...anyways i dont find that it makes a big mess and it doesnt take THAT long to dry...clean at night and by first thing in the morning it's dry (as long as you shake the water out of it otherwise yes you will wait forever )

maybe he's talking about some HKS or K&N FPIK. I dont see how just the filter would be that expensive
