is the inside rubber wearing because of camber or because of the toe angle (does your car pull when you drive or vibrate under the seat?)
did you purposely but postive camber for better traction around corners?
if you did thats why your tires are wearing.
if you got it done a tirecraft take it back and ask if they could recheck it

Having previously owned a g35 I assume that is the car you lowered. They do have their limits as camber can only be adjusted so far, especially at a place like tirecraft.Originally posted by Kimchee

There is a shop just off mcknight in the NE I always go to and have thrown cars at them that other shops could not do and they fixed it. It was also mentioned in this thread

Yup. Aside from a camber kit, there's no camber adjustment for a large majority of cars. If it is your G35 there is no camber adjustment or caster adjustment, probably only toe.Originally posted by Kavy

with the g35 and the 350z they are fully adjustable in the back but like stated above only toe adjustments in the front
but you can instal a cam bolt with will act as a caster and camber adjuster. easy to install and it installs on one of the 2 bolts for your shocks to the spindle
if your getting an alignment done most cars are toe and make sure you read your print out before you leave the place. check your camber to see if its within spec because your caster will not wear your tires, its just the placement of your wheel in the wheel well. also if your vehicle has a solid axle in the rear (VW's) there is no adjustments in the rear at all. really a pain in the ass when you have hit a curb because that means you probably bent it and need a new one
well hope this helps for anyone reading
where's the location of this shop?? and do they also install coilovers??Originally posted by modded46

Me too. Hank does a awesome job, good guy. I got my 240sx which is lowered along with adjustable suspension arms aligned after I did a steering rack replacement on it. Costed $60. Hank came out when I picked up my car and explained to me the adjustments.Originally posted by nj2Type-S

Do they charge more for alignment for lowered cars?
yeah, i think they charged me more cause it was lowered?....not to sure though...
i had tein springs installed on my g35....and i thikn you're right on the toe angle....i'll take it to tirecraft again but also will check out the shop in the NE before i get rims in the spring...
thanks for your input guys...
Yes my 240 is lowered 2.2 inches as well and it still costed me $60. I told them when I dropped my car off "It's lowered so I know you won't be able to get the camber back 100% but thats ok" This was at Precision Alignment & Brake by Autodream in the NE

I went to Tirecraft and they charged me $25 extra because my car is lowered. It is not even that low, just under 2 inches. So, I don't know if that is typical of alignment shops or not. Can anyone clue in?
Bumping this thread. Took my truck to Precision on Saturday for an alignment after I lowered it. The camber was bad, but I knew from another web board for my truck what they limits were after this lowering kit. They said that I would really have to push the alignment tech to get them to where they should be.
Well, I was impressed, Hank got it to exactly where I wanted it to be, and even got the toe dead on and caster to spec even when the web board members said that it was not possible... the first time...
And on top of that it was only $85
+1 for Precision and Hank...

just called precision, lady said it's $85 for a lowered vehicle... i think i'll just drop it off one day and not tell them it's lowered, then whatever they charge they charge... but i don't agree with a premium for a lowered car.

nice i gotta try precision out!
good thing i saw this thread
Depending on the alignment rack used, a premium for a lowered car makes sense. They take a lot of risk driving lowered cars onto and off of the alignment rack. Even with a disclaimer, they're going to have owners all up in arms when bumpers/side skirts/lips get scraped.
Not to mention it takes additional time if they have to put down two by fours or find other special ways to try to get the car on the rack.
