All my cars are done at TireCraft on McLeod (right beside Silverhill Acura). They set everything up based on my needs... street, track or mixed.

Yeah, I asked the guy why it's more for a lowered car. They said because it is harder to perform an alignment. By the way, the Tirecraft I went to was the one on Macleod Trail by Chinook Center. (the one rage2 goes to) I went there because people recommended them on here and they are a site sponsor. It seems I got ripped off.

just a question but did any of you guys install aftermarket camber/ toe adjustable arms/cam's???

i did alignments for a year and i can tell you right now, most lowered cars i worked with were toe and blows because the owner didn't want to install these

personally i am installing adjustable ball joints and a better camber cam's in the back for my prelude cause in the back i have it max'd out and the front only has toe adjustments

    Humm,

I have to get an alignment after installing my STi Pink springs on my FXT.

I'll give Tirecraft and Precision a call.

    Thanks

Oh any idea what Tirecraft charges for this?

I recently had an alignment done at Kaltire located by North Hill mall. The specs were pretty much right on. No complaints.

Just had precision alignment and brake do my GTO yesterday. Hank took 2.5 hours to do my car because he was having some problems with front camber. It was good enough after an hour, but he wanted to get it perfect. $85 and he explained to me everything that he did over the phone when I picked the car up.

He even fixed this wierd ass squeek that has been driving me nuts (Almost everything has been replaced suspension wise and I could not get it to go away).

My toe ended up at exactly 0 on both the front left and right. For double the cost, and before the car was lowered, Mitsubishi couldn't even get close to that. Not to mention they f---ed up one of my brand new tie rod ends.

There is no reason to go anywhere else for an alignment.

FYI ... it is harder to do an alignment on a lowered car. Most unlowered cars, they put the gauge on and just adjust the toe. That's like a max 15 minute job without even removing the wheels.

But when a car is lowered, the camber and toe will be off. To correct the alignment, the wheels may have to come off and time must be spent on getting the camber correct first. Then the toe need to be adjusted. So it's almost 3x more work when both the toe and camber must be dialed in.

Being sick of getting poor alignment jobs is the reason why I do the alignment myself with a professional alignment gauge I bought. The hardest part of doing this yourself is finding a nice level surface with ZERO slope to work on. That's it.

I just called Tirecraft on Macloed and booked an alignment for my 2006 Acura TL. It's lowered about 1.5" front and back on H&R sport springs...

they quoted me 140.00, that seemed really steep. Any opinions? should I cancel and try somewhere else?

(maybe this precision like some people are saying)

That sounds way too much! My car is on coils and they had a pretty hard time getting it up there little ramp at precision in the NE! In the end they charged me 100 which i thought was too much! So yea id recommend u go to precision cause it should only cost u around 80 bux!

When I went to Precision Alignment and Brake in the summer they had raised the price of lowered cars to I THINK $100. They were great guys though, I'll go back for sure
